I had the Only single outboard ever rigged. it ran good. needed alot more setup than i had time for. Check for moisture on the transom. Mine was originally rigged by someone other than Sutphen, and had a moist transom. i tried to dry it out. it was still super stiff, but i underestimated how bad it was before i sold it. The guy who bought it will get it going better than i had time for. I felt like a D-bag for telling him it was good. but in my defense, i was not aware. We agreed on a price that we both we comfortable with, but i still feel bad about the whole deal.
bring a moisture meter, and put alot of weight on the floor. i didnt weight enough to get it to flex like the new buyer did.
They are awesome hulls. nothing Compares to them really. take a sea trial on it and decide from there depending on how dry the transom is. If sutphen rigged it, you should be pretty safe.
the Latham steering is worth 3k at lease
If the motors run well, thats at least another 5k
Stainless marine brackets are top notch and not cheap
Those look like 280 Kplanes: 1500
Im sure you can work out a good deal
