I mostly run in the Hudson River with an occasional run out to the ocean and usually once a year some of my Sutphen buddies meet out at Old Saybrook CT and run across the LI sound and through the Hamptons and back. Were lucky enough to have Dan and Ken from Outerlimits escort us to a new lunch destination every year,
Also do a bit of lake running with a couple small outboard boats I have. I probably have the same sickness you do!

Nice job on the old girl 42! Glad to see someone finally had the time and money to give it the restoration it deserved. Make sure you send photos to Herb Chambers....He won"t believe it!

OldMan, Thanks for the appreciation of her. She was a long hard road. We always wanted to get info from Herb but could never find him on here. Would love to share photos of her with Herb or get photos of her from way back when.
Any info would help

He's not on here. His estate is in Old Lyme, Ct. on the river complete with helicopter pad. He owns more than 50 new car dealerships in the Boston area. I would start there.

Default Old Pictures Of Night Moves

I was fortunate enough to speak with the son of Norman Blair who once owned the 33 Sutphen formerly know as Night Moves. He was kind enough to send me photos of his father enjoying the boat. I would like to think that Norman would have liked what she became again.

Awesome pics, unreal restoration!
My Dad was good friends w/ Herb back in the day. He told me, if my memory serves me, that Herb lost a race to a Sutphen while out on his Cigarette and then went and bought a Sutphen. Dad told me that he was out in Herb's black Sutphen- probably this very boat- and they jumped the wake of a large cabin cruiser and were eye level with the people on the flybridge!
Boat looks fantastic, best of luck.
Matt

Great photos 42! Never seen these before. Would be great if someone could post pics when Kenny Mish owned the boat after Herb. Hope you enjoy #614 for a long time.
