While I patiently wait for JamesGang to sell me his, are there any other 39's around? I've heard rumors of nice one with Arnesons in NJ...

I hear TKO is for sale.

TKO is for sale, I saw it listed by a broker. The broker can't seem to publish a price for TKO, but I am assuming the $75k mentioned above for BenJen is significantly more cost effective. With that said, the BenJen Sutphen has to be the most overlooked and underappreciated Sutphen to ever run. This boat runs well into the 100's, consistently, and does so continuously in front of other boats. I have never seen another Sutphen out run it, this includes TKO, and quite frankly, I have never seen another boat that claims to run within the same speed range outrun this boat. In my opinion, it would be the best buy of the year, for any boat on the market. 600+ cu Zul power, 6's and consistently runs the number.

There was one in Florida with some pretty big motors and # drives for 45k last I remember. Older guy selling it looking to move to a cruiser. Guy knew his stuff motors were fresher. I can look for the info I has on it.

I can attest to how herbs boat runs, it's a bad mofo!!! But that being said , don't buy it, my wife and I enjoy boating with Herbie and Benjamin too much😉

Not selling mine. Herbs is an awesome deal for $75, runs like a raped ape. John has had 114 so far out of his with the new engines but he's definitely got more to go with better props. Having said that herbs has more to go too. I think I'm gonna soon be in the same boat. #6 props don't grow on trees!

What would you like to know? The boat is a 92 39' factory number 6 boat. Less than 400 hours on the hull. Engines are 604 or 607ci (I truthfully can't remember exactly what they worked out to be). Way more new parts than old, including Dart blocks, AFR heads, cam, lifters, pushrods, oil pumps, pistons, Jessel timing belts, TD shaft mounts, intakes, chillers, carbs, MSD, etc. 1020hp. Zul built with approximately 10 hours. Even new gimbals on the 6's. Boat runs as is 107+.............does this while "playing with others for all to see".

Benjen 39 is great boat fast and handles well, needs some love and care, TKO is one of the kind, saying has never been built before and will never be built again that's for sure, thanks to Herb, Ben and Jonathan I was this past summer on both boats and we almost lost my girlfriend going 100mph over solid 6-7 footers in TKO right before the storm.😂
TKO asking price is double then Benjen but boat needs nothing but maybe detailing, but again I believe it's different animal, I think that Sr. put everything he knew out of his 80 plus years of living into TKO.

Hi, anybody out there? I have to say I'm a bit surprised by the lack of interest in my classified ad. I know boats are a tough sale, but a 39' with number VI drives, all the pieces to drop in engines, on an aluminum trailer for under $50k, geeeez! I would think somebody is looking for a package like that.

Not too sure what you are referring to. This boat was never offered with a choice of power options. I did casually throw out the $75k a couple of years ago, but never advertised this boat as being for sale. I would sell it with the power now. I just thought selling less the power may appeal to more customers. Not everybody wants the maintenance that comes with a pair of 1000+ horsepower engines.

Seems like the market out there is dead, dead, dead. I have had NO action! Had one guy that I thought for sure was the right guy. Than poof, nothing. Never came to look at it. It's priced about as low as I intend to go. Screw it, I'll be back next year with it.

it’s so saddening that 39 Benjen ended up in the Mike’s “The Butcher” hands, the word is that after butchering was done hull has been left uncovered…

well you should have bought it then huh? Sucks to be you. Whos word was that? I guess taking drives off and then selling the rest complete was butcherer up.
