We are still very much here at Sutphen World Champion Powerboats....we have available to build 27' , 31', 35' and the 40 (actually with a revised deck design). Also many ideas to scale that Richie had ready to go for future projects. We do hope to see the mentioned TKO go to a new home but for whomever is looking for a new version we are here and ready to take order. sutphenworldchampionpowerboats.com ....239-574-1155

I stare at the pics of this boat all the time. In my opinion the most unique blends of old school and modern tech I have ever seen. I only wish I had 30-40k more In my budget. It really is one bad ass boat.

Thanks for posting Jupiter. I have been putting on the Hudson fun run for a few years now, and its always a good time. I have been getting between 65-75 boats every year. Tim Sharkey always does an amazing job with the pics and video .
Tko is a special boat. When she was built, she was supposed to be a pleasure boat. The original owner Walter Collins raced her for years, and has a lot of race wins as well as both National and World Championships.
The boat is based on the 39 footer. Richie Sutphen redesigned the back of the boat like nothing I have ever seen on another boat and that gives it a little over 40 feet. It also allowed the only 39/40 with staggered motors and a full cock pit. I put the cabin back together, and it is beautiful. It is truly an incredible boat, its hard to explain. Its just something that you need to experience. It runs rough water like an Apache yet its much lighter and faster.
I truly love the boat and I know she can never be replaced. But my boating has changed. I want to down size. Its one of those things, if she sells ill sell her. If not ill use her. She is listed with Bernie for 150k. In todays market what big boats are going for its not a bad price. The problem is it doesn't say Fountain, Cigarette or Outerlimits on the side. Most people don't know how well a Sutphen is built or how well they run. I have gone on long enough. Thanks for posting the video again.
