Hey Bob - I'll see the Fat Man tomorrow and give him your regards. Here's a pic of the new 35 I got from the Canadian.

Stillcrazy 01-06-2003 09:25 AM

Hey Boatracer I was thinking of calling The Fat Man today and try to get some lunch together this week. Hummmm a 35 .

Fobes....Don't recall Execution Express. Richie never "dressed" his boats that way from factory, so I might not remember it.

BODYSHOT1 01-06-2003 09:35 AM

ahh!..this picture thing is killin' me!! :hothead:

guess it's time to pay!

;)

Stillcrazy 01-06-2003 11:40 AM

Bodyshot
I don't like it either. For posts I think it's greedy.

spyguy 01-06-2003 06:16 PM

Hey Bodyshot,
I think I am going to be selling the red rocket and truck. I really do not want to and I know I'll regret it. (W/O motors). I/we really ran that thing pretty good, and still runs hard as you know, maybe down the road get another from Ritchie.

SinkorSwim 01-07-2003 08:04 AM

These pictures are killing me!

I am glad to see there is a group of Sutphen's out there. Just makes me want to go boating more and more... Keep the pictures coming!

apache41mike 04-23-2003 10:06 PM

Does anyone one know of a Sutphen "learnin 't fly" that boats at LOTO? If so what engines it runs?

bob 04-23-2003 10:59 PM

Apache41mike/

Possibly that is the old Tsunami 34 with I think has around 540 type blower motors...around 750-800's? I'm trying to recall a little article I saw in Hot Boat a few years back.

BODYSHOT1 09-05-2003 02:38 PM

Do any of you guys know or what happened to 1980 38' Ocean Racer Called Pleasure Seekers? It was last seen at Fort Apache. It sat at Bobby Moore's For years. It was owned by Roger Mahan From Lake Hopatcong NJ.(I used to work on his Grand Prix Inboard Hydro Team)
The Boat had #4's and the last time I talked to Roger He claimed that he was going to have it hauled back to Jersey.1998 or so,My Buddy that works at TnT Rigging/Bobby Moores .Called me a year later and said that He heard it was going to be sold to pay for Storage fee's that were overdue.

Great pictures guys! It's tough to find pictures of Sutphens. Anyone have pictures of 26's? I'd love to see them.

Brian

bob 09-18-2003 03:56 PM

Here are a couple of a 26 I had.

bob 09-18-2003 04:31 PM

One more.

bob 09-18-2003 05:18 PM

Caincando1/ here are the last two of a 26.

bob 09-18-2003 05:19 PM

Last one.

floatingphil 09-19-2003 09:11 AM

That hull looks to have a nice small footprint compared to the I/O models and I like the larger cockpit.

bob 09-19-2003 09:24 AM

Sutphil/ the 26, like all Sutphens has excellent lift above 70. Actually in that boat at 85 or so on smooth water basically only the last 8 or 10" of the keel is all that your riding on and the boat kinda trys to fall off which sets up a chine walk that you had to drive through. In rougher water it wasn't a problem. Great boat!

Caincando1 09-19-2003 10:14 AM

Thanks for the pictutres of the 26. I love the big cockpit on the ob model. They are such great looking boats!

Caincando1 09-19-2003 10:21 AM

Oh and just one question. What configurations do they come in? Twin O?B, Twin SB I/O, and single BB I/O?

R Addiction 09-19-2003 12:51 PM

A 26 Sutphen with twin weedwhackers and matching Diving boards:p

Nice pics Bob!!! Have any video?

Love those 26's. I'm always hunting around the internet for pictures of 26's. I guess I should have just asked.

Brian

R Addiction 09-19-2003 03:38 PM

Sutphil, Is that your Sutphen? Nice!!!!:D

bob 09-19-2003 08:25 PM

Sutphil, 26 looks really nice! With the Io's it must have a nice ride in the rough stuff. Where do you boat?

floatingphil 09-20-2003 09:45 AM

Most of the time we boat in western Lake Ontario in this boat. It can get quite rough so that is why I would like a better ride, can you say 30 footer.
If you search back far enough in this section, Stillcrazy posted some pictures of it the day it left the factory in 1987. That's what is great about OSO!
