I run an old school Carrera 24 and am just getting into the sport. The old girl has a TRS backed up by a 420HP 502. She currently has an old 25P cleaver, anyone got any suggestions, on where I should start regarding a prop? Anyone got anything for sale... (I don't have deep pockets.)

I am sorry, but I don't have any small pitch props. I would think that you might do well in a 4B semi-cleaver.

I've had best speeds with a Maximus 5 blade labbed 34. But have thrown blades on 2 separate occassions. In one summer. I've been running 4 blade maximus 34's, banging the rev limiter a bit but not all over it...but obviously slower speeds.

I am interested in giving your props a shot and see how they perform. I suspect I'd want a p5x 34 labbed -but look to you to recommend.

What would you recommend?

AJ,

It sounds as if your propellers are suffering from the surfacing application. Asking them to do something that they were not intended to do (surface). I would recommend stock props if you want to stick with high rake, round ear props. Now if you are willing to work with spacers and semi-cleavers you may find something more beneficial than just blades staying whole and intact. But it would definately require some dial in work.

I would like to maximize top end but not suffer from cavitation out of the hole.

Would like to avoid spacers at this time.

What prop would you recommend?

If you can provide me with your performance data I can take a look.

I need:

Wot RPM
WOT MPH
Gear ratio
Engine and RPM at which peak HP is produced (if engine is modified)
