I am looking for a wet exhaust like stainless marine. got any? |
drpete - ya its a sickness what can I say! But I am clearing out some parts before I start a new project so that is a first for me! :grinser010:
As for wet exhaust, my understanding is you can run the headers wet, I just chose to run a seperate dump. I did this to help insure no reversion and cause I liked the boat sound with this setup (not recommended for inland lakes ). A simple plug in place of the fitting and the water will dump out the tips. If interested, let me know. |

A few people have requested pics and talked of wet vs. dry so I hope this helps.
Here's a pic of the headers on my test mule. (Don't mind the girly air cleaner or the plumber's special fittings!) While probably not a true "dry" setup you can see I ran seperate water dumps. I did not close off the interal water dumps into the tail so I'm sure some water was coming out. If you want a wet setup simply install a bung inplace of the fitting. If you want a true "dry" setup you can either run how I have it or go a step further and plug the internal water dumps too. |

I am interested in the Lightenings if you still have them or otherwise if you have the 496 CI exhaust I would be interested in 2 sets of those.
Let me know as soon as you can. Thanks, John [email protected] |
I think there are about 4 people in line for the headers... I think i am number 2, but he is not getting back to us.
|
hpy540 -
You are correct, going in order that I received interest. No excuse but I was sick then out of town for work, peddling parts in the garage comes second to my job. Awaiting a return call from Eddie on the lightings and if he passes then it'll be up to you. I've already talked to getrdunn as he needs two sets for a 496. Got a pricelist going out to michael for the purple items and going in order for those too. have a bunch more stuff to list but waiting until these items get sorted out first. |
