Default Valve covers

I have a set of standard merc BBC (502 mag) valve covers. I am looking for an aftermarket set that will clear a Gil exhaust system (with roller rockers). Thanks. (716) 807-4561 Jim

Default RE: valve covers

I was interested however I have gils or they are being shipped and I have R/R's also and am in the same situation you are. Do you know what WE are both going to be in need of. If you don't mind sharing with me I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
John

I can sell you Eddie Marine Valve covers they will work for your set up. Check them out on eddiemarine.com part # 108-02P. They are polished but I can get them any color for additional cost. I'll sell them for $207.99 a set. Let me know, Jeff @ J&J Marine 856-228-4744

Stock Merc valve covers will clear roller rockers and Gil exhaust just fine. The valve covers on the 500HP are the same casting as a 454mag. You just have to grind off the drip tabs and possibly radius the corners on 2 rockers. Thats what Merc does.

I have a couple sets of aftermarkets here that I will sell for $50 a set. The have tall breathers on them.

They either are etched or have a plate with different engine builders names on them.
