Default 496 exhaust

I have a set of complete 496 cast iron manifolds and SS Risers with less than 6 hours on them fresh water only. 400 or a reasonable offer. Please

they are aluminum and stainless if they are from mec 8.1

get your facts straight...only the old 496 manifolds were made out of aluminum

They came off an 08 496 8.1L , iron manifolds SS risers

He does have his facts right. In 2006 Mercruiser switched to iron manifolds and stainless risers from the aluminum/stainless manifold riser combination before 2006. They were having warranty issues from the aluminum manifolds in saltwater where owners where not flushing with fresh water after use. Its a good idea to flush with fresh water after every use in salt water even with the newer (heavier) iron manifolds.

Not to run this into the ground....BUT...He(crayola crazy)specifically said if they came off a 8.1 that they were alum. Not that if they came off an engine prior to 2006 that they would be alum.
