1 Attachment(s)
2 496CI engines
Bottom ends are brand new Eagle rotating assemblies All forged, H- Beam rod with L19 bolt upgrade, SRP pistons Brand new cams, lifters, pushrods, stainless rockers etc. New Merlin oval port heads Rebuilt and flowed 750 carbs with billet base plates Brand new valve covers Edelbrock air gap intakes sea pumps, pulleys, flame arrestors, block mouted oil remotes TBIV ignitions, aluminum chain covers, power steering pump Harmonic balancers and flywheels for Bravo app, included. Engines are 1.5 years old. 1 engine Dynoed and broke in over the summer. Sheets in next post. 1 engine has been stored in new condition with the valves closed. Rockers never installed. 2nd engine will go to dyno after deposit is received to make sure everything is correctly broken in. Engines did 525+- HP at 5200RPMS. over 500 torque from very low rpms. Great power band on the HP, torque in the midrange will make for very efficient cruising speeds. 9.5:1 Comp ratio. Steal them at 12K for the pair Other rigging parts may be available for your application, just ask, and if I have them, they are yours. If I have to buy them, then I will forward them to you at whatever I have to pay for them. Instalation is available. No trades at this price. Thanks |

First sheet. They did a little more torque than I remembered.

Print out timing at 32.
Difference between black line and red line on prev sheet: Black line is timing at 34, Red line is timing at 32. I tested it at differnt setting also. 32 seemd to be the best. You would only lose 10+- HP and Torque at 30. Picked up about 3 HP at 36. HP did move a little higher in the RPM range with a little more timing though. Octane would get them climbing a few HP more, but not worth it in my opinion. Set it up for premium fuel, and kept the timing low for use in boat in case of fuel quality issues. Should be a very reliable set up for someone. Just havn't found a boat to put them into for my personal use, and I need the cash to finish my other projects. |
Correction. 524HP was at 36 timing.
As set up they are 517HP and 542 Torque |
hey whatd you end up doing with those big blower motors you had????????

Oh well. Sometimes it is better to empty out all of the stuff laying around your shop, and start from scratch again. I just need cash to finish the Mag, and buy some gear to try and take it racing this year. Been trying to do it for the last 2 :( Boat is allmost finished, now I just need all the stuff to go with it. :grinser010: |

haha you seem like your always messing with something. if you ever come across some 700hp or bigger motors that are in need of work let me know. yours would have been perfect but i didnt have the right boat to put them in at the time. whatd they end up bringing, and how rough of shape were they in????

They were pretty dirty though. I don't think the boat they came out of had been cleaned in years. Those engines were primo on the bottoms though. Had sleeves in the lifter bores, billet cams, forged dished pistons. A real good set of heads and those things would have been in the high 900's. I never pulled the pan on one of them though, so I don't know who's crank and rods were down there, but LEON allways used good stuff back in the day, so I am sure they were nice. |
those wouldve looked mean in my bildge.........
