4.3L or sbc wanted
 

For my friends boat. She has a 4.3L and a volvo jet. Need a new 4.3L long block. I think an SBC would bolt right up as well if any one has one complete with exhaust. Any advice on going to an sbc would be helpfull. I think it would drop right in, I could be wrong.

the sbc is going to be a little longer and wider i have a complete ( minus carb, wiring, exhaust and ignition ) 4.3 that needs a block ( it has water in the oil and i think it has a cracked block )

thats where we are at right now. Really need a long block! I know the dimensions will be a little bit bigger but shouldnt be much work to make it fit?

Sbc and a 4.3 is the same width,sbc is about 8'' longer and all the rest of the assories will bolt up except for the flywheel exhaust manifolds and the water pump but if its a jet i t wouldn't need a water pump..

Thanks for the input. I think she should go with a sbc...some more tourque would do it good. Any sbc out there looking for a new home?
