BBC & Bravo stuff
The last 3 years saw a major resto and upgrade of my Checkmate 234 Persuader and the used parts are piling up. I have pics of most parts, please PM me with an email addy and i'll send 'em right over. Make a reasonable offer and they are yours. All parts are for a big block chevy (some may fit SBC).
Stock Thunderbolt ignition system that came directly off my 454 mag, includes distributor with only a few hours on new pick-up module, cap and rotor. Somewhere i have a second module that goes with, if i can find it. Stock fuel filter mount, with inlet line and filter with only an hour or two on it. Stainless spark arrestor air filter, stock on my 350mag, 6.5" x 1.5", fits most holley/edelbrock carbs. Stock Merc throttle assembly 8 VDO gauges (rpm, speedo, water temp, trim angle, oil pressure, fuel level, hours and volt) all worked well BRAVO 1 lower, rebuilt in 2008 with aprox. 50 hours since. Never hammered, no skiers, no hole shots. Comes with 2 23p props or will seperate. BBC (maybe SBC as well?) alternator, checked out in 2009 but no need for rebuild. BBC Comp Cam with springs, lifters and perches. 50 hours approx, no specs but one stage stronger than stock, cheap or it's scrap! Original igloo cooler for a 202 Persuader assortment of Earls and Automotive AN fittings and hose, brand new in boxes, mostly 6AN. Edelbrock 750cfm marine carb, very good condition. Stock BBC exhaust manifolds and risers And a bazillion VW and audi parts I need gone (figged i'd try ;-) Again, make an offer, first pay, first get. I pref. paypal but will do personal check or bank check but you'll need to wait till it fully clears. |

Cam info, I’ll just rattle off everything I see:
backside ‘10’ ‘14’ and a red dot front side ‘CWC’ the number 15 over top the number 48 ‘D7’ and ‘C7’ 901509 8209 (might be a number ahead of this one, can’t tell) The motor was the original from 1992, the year my boat was built. It had been rebuilt a few years back and that’s when this cam was installed. I had it rebuilt again in winter of 2010 simply because I was having misfire problems that turned out to be faulty wiring and I wanted a bit more power. The old motor had 425hp with this cam, and I’m only up to 440 now with the same type of cam but some head work and new manifolds and carb. The old cam and the new one seem strongest about 1700rpm up. I has excellent pull in the midrange. Hope this helps! No pics of AN fittings handy, will need to snap some. Hang in there on that one. |
bump!
