502 is an early to mid 90's gen5 motor, pulled it out of a stress damaged hull, we ran it before pulling it, sounds great, oil pressure and compression tested very good. Don't really know some of the inside details like cam and compression ratio, but it wasn't really radical. Any questions feel free to call 586-634-1226.

So did you ever run this motor in a boat for yourself? Do you ever think it had water in it ?

We ran it in the boat before pulling it. Hull was too damaged to drive, stress cracked from a bad previous repair. The boat never sank or took on water, we never would have bothered with it if it had. Just picked it up for the good parts it had.
