Why not consider replacing the axle springs with lighter ones ($200 or less) and shortening the front tube that the hydraulic coupler is on if possible. I did this to my Continental aluminum trailer that was 12,000 capacity for a 35' Cigarette so that I could put my 28' Cigarette center console on it. I replaced 4,000 lb springs with 2,000 lb springs on three axles and cut 30" off the front tube.

honestly...the trailer is way too nice to be cutting up and retro fitting. its got heavy duty everything from HD axles to 7 1/2" i beams. if it weren't for the length, i would be keeping it.

also the front cant be cut without a major overhaul. not worth it.
