How deep does the water need to be to use this lift?

I'm not positive exactly how deep it needs to be but the lift is around 3-4' tall so i'd imagine its that plus the minimum draft of your boat so maybe about an 7-8 foot depth is needed. I can find out for sure if your interested.

What make, model, year boat do you have? I did some looking and it's the height of the lift plus your boats draft, but let me know what you have and I'll find out.
