can anyone tell me if this could work on a small block.

what is the number on the carb? is it a blow thru as described ? if so why is there a carb box? a box will allow any carb to work where as a blow thru can sit alone on the engine with just a inlet-maybe theres a number on the instructions in the pic? let me know thanks-
