Well at least the funny replies make it less painfull. After a day of punishing the water on the back in for the evening to start cocktail hour, I noticed the nightly ferry boat passing by. After years of testing my skill jumping its wake, I altered coarse to take my favorite line of hitting its large and far spaced wake. Only this time full throttle and trimmed a bit less conservativly. hitting the wake at 74 produced a launch worth of magazine cover follwed by a perfect landing with drives still in one piece. Standing obation by all ferry occcupants.return to marine leave boat in water overnight. next morning raise eng. hatch to check oil.Hmmmm there seems to be abit more water the the usual daily nuasance. Brief inspection revals stringers and back seat bulkhead broken free from boat, and panel over fuel tank in cockpit is at a differnt elevation that the rest of the floor. Insurance.... I hate bad karma. Trash boat? too much into it to do so. Fix boat??? Go make Cigarettes wonder what is going on with that OLD bird.

How is it bad Karma? you have insurance for when something happens to your boat. Something happened to your boat. Stupidity is covered. Im not implying that you are stupid, just that it should be covered. Maybe not if it broke because it was rotten, but then again they are insuring it. Should it be your responsabilty to know when/if it was rotten? Should they have had it surveyed before agreeing to insure it? There seems to be a lot of grey areas in boat insurance.
