What does it take to get a boat out of Canada and into the USA with paperwork to actually use it here. The past 10-15 years seems we have went from a free country to the ussR in regards to anything recreational (ie anything that is not responsible)

i just got a boat from canada i am a us cit. all they wanted on the us side is to make sure it has a coast guard sticker on the boat and the manufacter sticker on the trailer didi not have any trouble they will check you out to make sure you are legal i crossed at fort franics /international falls if you have any questions let me know i got a 42 fouitain hope this helps

oh make sure you take your passport dont need it to get in canada but you will to get back in the usa

In regards to purchasing the boat and bringing it to the US, I did just that in June and all that was requiredwas that I declared it at the bridge and it was going back its country of origin. He did a quick check and sent me on my way. Michigan does boat titles but since Canada does not have titles they had to take some info and create a title for the boat since it had been in Canada all its years. There really should be no trouble at all, and certainly not more than a days trip to bring it over correctly

yes it is Greatlaker... I tried to sell for what it was really worth last year and low and behold here it still is... now I priced it to sell, its a great boat, nothing at all wrong with it, but the wifey won the war lol and its gotta go... we have the Scarab to play with and she loves that boat, and its plenty fast enough for a 43', so no O.E. in my near future...

Ya I saw that boat for sale last year.. One problem you are having selling it is no pictures, or very few. I sold a boat last year quick but I had 20 pics of it on the site i had it on.

Definitely giving it away. I was looking at it when it was at LCM a couple years ago. The trailer bill blow you away too. It's like new.
