Both housings are pictured. no salt rot, fresh water from lake michigan.

this is the third setup i've seen with one solid and one slotted flexplate. anyone know why ? sorry for the hijack

when the good one brakes they replace it with a cheaper one

I have seen the with three springs broken the plates cracked were the holes are too

Neither of those are the heavy duty ones. I am pretty sure the slotted one is the stronger of the 2 pictured, but still not the big ones. There is a difference in strength.
