COMMANDERSANDERS,i am a paying member and i agree that it is money well spent, but some people wont pony up for whatever reason,it,s my guess that if they wont buy a membership, they wont pay extra for used parts either, but i do understand the logic behind your idea.

I like your idea about the paying member thing. I pay not because of the koozies I got, but just to support the site and have access to posting pics, bigger PM box, unsensored section, etc.

Some, (not all) non paying members just come here, buy and sell parts, get free advice that saves them thousands of dollars fixing their boats, but never participate in the forum. Look at Kidapache . Probably a nice guy, but he lists stuff in the swap shop more than prob anyone on oso, and big money stuff!! Selling engines for 50k on here, but cant swing the few bucks to support the site that has probably helped him sell a few hundred grand worth of boat stuff over the years. Cmon man.

Feels like it's been forever since the last time I payed to renew my membership. After reading this I had to check and make sure it was current.
