Default BBC 454/468 Internally Balanced

This is one killer motor... it only has 45 mins of test time on it.

Callies Crank and H Beam Rods Internally Balanced.
Forged Flat Top Pistons
Merlin Heads with Inconnel Valves
Offshore Race 10 Quart Oil Pan Melling HV Oil Pump
Crane Roller Cam and Retro Fit Roller Lifters
Roller Rockers
Edelbrock Air Gap Intake
Holley 830 CFM Double Pumper with 4 corner idle circuit. (this carb is awesome)

Rotating assembly was originally assembled for an Offshore Race Boat. It was configured to make 700HP and spin 7k RPM.
I have de-tuned the motor to around 550hp...

As mentioned the motor only has test time on an engine stand. It ran perfectly. With the internally balanced assembly throttle response was insane. The Holley carb was just rebuilt and works flawlessly. There was not hesitation the motor could idle all day long and not load up.

Cash price is $5800
All parts are new except the crank, rods and carb.

Will consider trades even, up or down.
Cars, corvette, audi, bmz, mercedes, caddiliac, lincoln, sports cars hot rods, etc. Real estate, random items, let me know what you have in mind.

Who built the engine? Do you have paperwork?

CR is around 9:1

I bought the short block already assembled from a local offshore Racer here in Ohio. He was an oso member but i dont remember his name that was 8 years ago. He ran the blocks for one year total of 4 or 5 races. He was changing classes and could run bigger power so he built two bigger motors. I bought one of the old short blocks.

My good friend owns and operates a local machine shop here in Ohio. He went through the motor, setup the new cam and valve train, did the valve grind on the new Merlin heads and did final assembly. The motor sat for a few years and was never run. Last month we fired the motor at his shop. He is available to speak with if you need any info on the motor. His shop has been in business over 50 years. I will stand behind the motor and can fire it again on a stand if needed. The motor runs great.

What shop? I'm real close to you and am interested but I'd like to know what shop you used. Did he keep a "build log" with all the clearances and measurements?

I live right down 58 in Wellington. Looking for an engine for my 24 pantera.

You can pm me if you don't want to mention he name of the shop for some reason.

Thanks, rob.
