310 HP. Had one in a '99 266 Crownline. Made them from '98 - '00 or '01 when the 6.2 MPI replaced it. They make a bunch of torque so I would be careful with one if front of an Alpha.

Not sure, looking up the VIN mercury calls out '98-'00 and by sequence it seems like a later one. As for use with an alpha I haven't worked with them much but i wouldnt think it would be a problem.

Guess we were typing at the same time. Yes, could be 310hp, I just know its not the high output mag motors which are around 365hp I think

Its the "310''HP version. Much better than the old 330. It has vortec heads, 9:1 and a roller camshaft. 330's had peanut port heads, 7.9:1 compression, and flat tappet. Very smooth engines and very reliable.
