BMax outdrive and Transom Assembly
Hi,
I have a 2004? BMax outdrive (1.5 to 1) and transom assembly all with 26 hours on it. We never really used the boat, that is why the hours are low and i am selling since a steering ram failed. I called the bravoshop and they explained that none of the parts are availabe now for the the transome assemble a and steering. BUT...the drive is still good!! I will seperate the package and sell the drive only. I'm looking for the best offer...please no stupid low ball offers. The Bravo Shop said the transom assembly may be good for someone that has the same assembly and wants to purchase what I have for spare parts...since you can't get parts anymore. Pictures upon request and feel free to call or text me at 631-478-5124 If you are wondering about the boat...it is/was bolted to a Zodiac 640 that Dean had built to demo the BMax drive mated to a diesel engine. (I just sold the engine) I'm located on the east end of Long Island Thanks, Joe |
What broke?
|
A steering ram failed so now you have to change everything? Man that doesn't seem rite
|
My guess is BMax had its own "makeshift" transom assembly that I believe they have "reengineered" just like they "reengineered" the Bmax drive..........So the old parts are not being made anymore and the new parts will not start being made until the new assembly is updated. Plus it is a perfect excuse for when something breaks...."that was the old stuff, the new stuff is much better!"
Sound like something you might have heard of Dr.???? :lolhit: |
Call me I may have the part u need 405-640-1491
|
Yup. One part broke and.......
The big thing is that the engine package was never really a great match fir the boat anyway. So this is all a good excuse to mount an outboard on it and move on. Thanks for the offer if the part but I'm more interested in selling what I have. If I find a buyer I'll send them your way for the ram For what I am told the drive is still a great Bmax drive and would boot up to MERC stuff. You guys would know better than me maybe Thanks Joe |
mine bolted to my merc parts. how much for the one your getting rid of?
|
I'm accepting offers... I'm not exactly sure what it is worth

Hi,
can you text 631-478-5124....I have them on my phone Thanks, Joe |
Hi
I spoke with Ron Bender today. I was wrong, the ratio is 1.3. He said the drive is worth $5000. So I'll take $5000 and the buyer picks up or pays shipping. Thanks Joe |
So is this a Military proto type? Have you pressure tested the unit?
|
Hi, As I understand it the drive is a "standard" Bmax from Dean. I have not pressure tested it...i'm not acutally sure I would know how to. The drive was on the boat last Friday in good working order. To remove it I needed to remove the back plate, all looked good and what could be seen inside is like new.
|
this drive is in excellent cond. the transom assembily is bad. the drive will bolt up to a merc transom assembily. it has the cresent shaped lower.
|
It could be sent directly to the bravo shop and pressure tested, looked over. John the new owner isn't out to screw anyone over. He is not going to try to sell you upgrades you don't need for your application.
|
If it's one of Dean's Bmax's it needs the current upgrades to be trouble free. I don't care how many hours on it. John P at the Bravo Shop is as honest as they come.
