Sick Stinger, you may want to check in with Bobby regarding the step ventilation and see if you can do it on your 36'. Once ventilated it REALLY unlocked some speed in the 42' Chief!

Panther I was thinking about contacting bob, if e is in the board I'd rather PM him then calling and nothing him. Thanks For the input. What type of venting are you referring to.

Bob S is on OSO and posts in the Chief Forum. I'm sure you'll figure out his screen name

Bobby has been contacted on this boat before. The ventilation was covered back up on the f2 boat.

On the Chief then added thru hull vents behing the first step and it picked up a lot. On the last 42' they got it dialed in even further.

If you have holes in the bottom behind the first step, yours is already vented.

I would take a looksee! And of course consult Bob. He's not a big board guy so email or phone might be best.

I considered bidding on your boat in the auction and swapping my power into it. Oh well! :-)

Welcome to the tribe!

Any idea why it was covered back up?

What I heard was third person. Iirc the handling wasn't as good and it did not pick up speed. I've been in and have run the f2 boat. It's incredible how it runs. Flat river it runs fast and no porpoise, turns on a dime at high speed with no slip, rough water flys straight and smooth
