Default 516CID BBC 625HP Complete Drop-In, Zero Hours Since Rebuild

This engine is in the process of being rebuilt and freshened, and will be available mid to late August. If you’re are or are going to be in the market for a new engine, give this one some consideration. Getting this out there ahead of time, as I have three more engine projects waiting for funding, and the boat that this engine was in has already been sold.

516 cubic inch Mark V BBC making 625 HP and 648 ft/lbs torque with 50 hours run time since it was originally built and dyno’d, and zero since being gone through. This engine is GM Gen V 4 bolt block with .060. GM forged crank, New Keith Black Icon forged 10 to 1 pistons with gapless rings, Eagle H beam rods with ARP cap screws, new Clevite 77 mains and rods, Moroso anti-cav high volume oil pumps, Comp cam custom grind roller cam with Morel high polish high rev hyd lifters, 7/16 chrome moly pushrods, Ferrea stainless special alloy valves, Crane wide body 1.7 gold roller rockers, Merlin oval port heads with port matched Dart single plane high rise intake, C&S areasol 930 CFM wet custom carb, high flow flame arrestor. HEI Ignition, Polished aluminum valve covers with billet breathers vented to a puke tank (included). The engine comes with all accessories (raw water pump (rebuilt within the last 10 hours), alternator, starter, power steering pump, oil/hydraulic fluid cooler) and wiring harness, and is ready to drop in. Also includes a flexplate for a Bravo trans and a custom fabricated engine mount (shown in photos).

I also have a set of satin stainless CMI E-Top headers for this engine, listed and sold separately.

This was originally purchased here on OSO from Brad Harbold (Btharbold), when he de-rigged his Scarab in June of 2012. I have close to $13k in the engine and rebuild, and would entertain offers in that neighborhood. The engine can be picked up just west of Seattle, or I can crate and ship at buyer’s expense.

Here’s a link to one of the pair of engines that this was a part of running prior to being pulled from Brad's boat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Daj7L1YBJ4
