I know they can be taken apart Griff. They are actually meant from the factory to angle forward though. I have seen people install in the opposite direction. Not sure if it is for function or not. Sure looks dumb. Anyway what I was saying is that even if you changed the configuration the trim switch would still be on the wrong side of the handle. So I was asking what is involved in flipping the switch. I did it on a set of gaffrig controls and the switch had soldered connections which was one adventure but the switch was flush mount in the handle and you just had 2 screws tho take the switch plate off. I don't see any screws or anything on this handle.

hey sport i have recondition a few of these zero effort controls and everything about them is simple. the twim switch has two screw to disassemble it just remove red adhesive cap and pull wires with switch out or pull wire out enough resoldier its much quicker to switch around. To switch around levers disassemble on nice clean towel in case ball bearings drop out. remove first two plates for throttle while holding shift lever plates together shouldnt take no more than a hour to do. hope that helps

I know how to do the configuration, and I have done the trim switches on the Gaffrig and Livorsi controls. I just wasn't sure about this switch.
