I would like to get that part number if possible. I have early 525's and want a spare distributor.
Thanks
Steve

It is a ACDelco 213-350 GM original equipment engine oil pump driveshaft with cam position sensor.
they sell on amazon.com for 197.09 with free shipping. the ones thru merc. are over 800. learned this the hard way.

your right its not a true dist. it is a oil pump drive cam position sensor! The newer ones have a oil pump drive that bolt's into the lifter galley, they moved the cam sensor up under the timing cover onto the cam gear. as far as coil packs they had two mounting places, it all depends on witch wire harness you have. I know this because I built a pair of 565cu in. engines that uses the merc. 525 efi platform so yes I do care.
