Is it aftermarket or 500 EFI Merc. if 500 EFI I may be interested depending what comes with it

I believe people are asking because, your add says you are selling something that does not exist.

In original Merc terms the HP500 is a carbed fuel system. Merc also made a 500HP engine package that followed but was fuel injected therefore called the 500 EFI.

That in mind, if an HP 500 was injected that implies that it was converted with an aftermarket fuel injection system. So, if you are referring to an original 500HP Merc fuel system the Merc term would be 500 EFI.

Just trying to clarify for your efforts and explaining the reasons of the questions your getting here.
