Default 22 Velocity no power train

I have a 1989 22' Velocity minus power train (no engine no drive assembly) that's sitting on a nice tandom axle steel trailer that I may be parting with pretty soon.. The boat will need the short rear stringers relaxed, along with the the fact that around 1/3 of the transom is/was wet, alobg with some of the coring.. It's kinda crazy although not overly surprising because the with the exception of some spider cracks in the gel on the sides in some areas forward of the dash area, the boat is in real good shape leap for a 26yr old boat.. I started tearing into the rot a little while back, and really could have left it alone and dumped it on an undicserning buyer but that not me, so once I realized the extent of it I tore into it to see just what I was dealing with..

It has the nice looking plexi windshield that is in real good shape, the interior is usible but the back seat is cracked up pretty bad on the lower seat area (I honestly planned to tuck some towels over it good and use it for a season orso) The bottom of the boat is in incredible shape and pretty much doesn't have a scratch on it.. I say the rot part is crazy but not surprising because I know the boat has been sitting in a garage for over 10yrs.. It was the previous owner who had let it sit out :-(

I also have a decent cockpit cover for it however it doesn't fit real great with the raised engine hatch (which I was gonna do away with and put a somewhat flat hatch on it)

Anyhow it is what it is and I'll try to put up a few pics in a day or two if there's any interest.. It would make someone a good & fast on small power project boat for not a huge investment.. I'd like to get around $2,800 for it like it sits but we all know CASH talks ;-)

Also if the budget permits & fits I would consider building the boat for the right client..

I remembered that I snapped a quick shot of it before I left the shop today.. The windshield is of course removed in that shot.. As is the interior (because the floor is out)

Like I said if there's intrest I'll try to get some more pics up in the next couple days, but this gives you an idear...

--Not sure why it posted sideways but it may be this friggin phone-- SORRY about that, along with the dust & mild mess, it's sitting in the "working section" of my shop where it's free from overspray, ect but not necessarily dust and the inevitable gathering of stuff on or around the trailer if It's not getting worked on if I'm not super careful.. Haha

Here is a little better shot from the same angle I posted earlier taken befor the quick one I had taken today.. I inlcuded the one with the little Allison so you could see the front seats in the background.. ;-)

Also the trailer apears to have mismathced wheels because I had lost a tire on the way home and had to toss a spare on it.. I have the matching wheel with another good tire on it, just not swithced them out on the trailer yet.. It matches the front chrome steel wheel

As I said if the intrest is there I'll get some more pics, but this is all I can dig up right now on this computer

I appologize for so many typo's on the original post (gotta love "smart phones") Anyhow those short stringers in the rear obviously need Replaced not relaxed ;-)

Here's a several shots of the good the bad & the ugly from earlier today.. I have a more but see no real need to post 25 orso pics here.. Feel free to Email me if your interested and want more shots, questions, ect.. Despite the unfortunate rot in the areas you see in the shot here it has areas that are in increadible shape for a 26yr old boat.. This is NOT something I'm trying to dump on someone, ect..ect.. I planned to build this for myself as fast reliable on relitivley small power family cruiser, but family and keeping a small town business alive in the world we live in comes before toys..

$2,800 CASH tows it away..

** For some reason the angle of the pics I took with the plexi windshied on it makes the windshield look like it stands at an odd angle,,, I can assure you that it doesn't and I'll try to post a pick of it tomorrow showing that because it's bugging me **

*** Also the rear deck area behind the rear bench was cut out by a previous owner to clear the belt of a roots blower, however they were kind enough to keep the piece they cut out, and smart enough to put the entire rear bench on forward hinges for better access to the front of the engine.. So your choice... ***

Interior shots.. Very usable, but in my honest opinion and as hard as I tryed my best to show them as they are, they probably show a little better in the pics..

Better shot showing the true angle of the windshield.. I removed it from the boat while I was working on it to keep it from getting damaged so I just have a few screws in it for the pics
