I didn't call you a liar or said you mislead anyone. Everyone makes mistakes it's not a big deal by any means. I've done it over the years many times it happens. I thought I saw a MISTAKE and was just trying to clarify. No one in there correct mind would pass up buying the motors due to what I said. If anything they would ask about it not just say oh wait he lied screw him. Sorry you feel you may have lost a sale but it's way to over reacting to something i was just getting clarification on.

Wow. It's really unfortunate that you've made such a big deal of this, Moxy. I have a friend in Montreal who would have been interested in these, but your attitude killed it, not anything else that was said. Too bad. GLWS

LETS ALL STOP posting on this ad it only helps bring attention to the item for sale, which the OP obviously does not need, want, or deserve help with.
Next thing you know there will be a sex tape leak about these Blowers! :lolhit::lolhit: |
Moxy, I met you in a person and you seemed like a decent guy, but your online personae is definitely making you look like d*ck! I wouldn't want to buy with that attitude either. The boating community is small in North America and even smaller where we boat (1000 islands).
I've dealt with SickStinger, Jaysflatdeck on a few occasions and they are great guys to deal with, nor do they freak out if someone posts on their threads. This a forum, NOT kijiji or craigslist, so people will post on things, whether you like it or not. AS for knowing what you have, you should specify other things too, like price. It's annoying to everyone looking - why is it a secret?! Have you heard these motors run? Seems to me they've been sitting for at least 15 plus years (I remember seeing the kijiji ad for them when you picked up your boat). Where they stored properly? You should be up front with people so we don't have another "I got screwed with junk rusty motors thread" that seems to be happening a lot lately...both here and on the Facebook Powerboat swap shop. |
Speaking of Facebook Powerboat swap shop, 2 friends got burned recently. One on a Bravo 1 drive, the other on a set of heads. Parts were far from what was advertised. Both were quite a distance from where we are, so a look see was not realistic. If you can't inspect it don't buy it unless it's from a well known source.

Quick question: do all Canadians say "buddy and pal" all the time? Do you guys have square tires like on South Park?:lolhit:
This thread is taking a great turn since the OP has been such a royal d!ckweed. The engines may have been stored for an excessive amount of time and may need major work. Guess if the buyer makes an offer and strikes a deal, the seller can say "hey, you made the deal PAL". Glad this is all coming to light. . . And to think he blamed ol' Sick Stinger for pointing out some stuff that could have been misinterpreted. |
