He's a good guy to know!
Hello all,
I wanted to share my experience from this weekend with “smokin’ gun”
I am a performance boater on a budget. Which means most of my upgrades are done buy searching the internet for quality used components. I took a drive to NH this weekend and was pleasantly surprised with my new fried. He had exactly what I needed, and more. He offered so much needed advice as well. Of course I had visions of running my budget performance boat as a pace boat for future OPA offshore races. Gordon started by explaining what it would take to get there, and as I realized my budget was a few lightyears short; he showed me how and what I needed to get my boat there. The advice was more valuable to me than the parts. I am sure there are engine builders and boat riggers that would be more than willing to sell me any new components I ask for, but Gordon understands your goals and budget before wasting your time and money. I anticipate many future conversations with Gordon in the coming years.
Also, If you see a 1991 Formula 272 SR1 leading a pack of OPA racers onto the course, just know that Gordon got me there. He's a good guy to know!
