I don't keep track of slip numbers because they don't equate to any improvement in performance in my case, and they often are inaccurate. The stock 24 Maximus gave me very low slip numbers but poor mpg and slower top end compared to 26 Bravo. The problem with calculating slip is that you are assuming the pitch stamped on the prop is accurate, and it usually isn't.

My boat has EGT sensors, very precise fuel consumption sensors, so I go by those numbers, rpm's and gps speeds to tell me if the props are doing what I want or not.

Removing the cup for me brought them closer to the mpg I get with the Bravos, while still giving me the better low speed and midrange cruise.

If it helps I use zep toilet bowl cleaner. Spray it on with a pump sprayer let sit spray it off. And if need be repeat.I'm on a lift and do my pros and bottom twice a month if I can and if it needs it.

Are your props already polished or do they have a satin finish? No cleaner will put a mirror shine on the props if it is not already there.
