So bill for 13 or so even buying pistons and a refresh as NA not worth it? did you put these motors together? Why would you use a head that “sucks”? Weird. shaft guard was part of the staggered set up. If any one wants flats or dome pistons I can have them redone with dyno and warrenty papers on them. bill sounds like you are interested. Does this help? And I’ll do it for cost of parts and dyno and I’ll cover the labor and transport to and from machine shop. |
Nothin is free, but I’ll sell it reasonable. |
So not shaft guards in that city block warehouse of yours

Where does it say I changed them? Maybe I missed it. Still wondering about the heads you put on this motor you build for your friend with crappy heads. |

Still wondering about the heads you put on this motor you build for your friend with crappy heads. heads sucked so bad, those motors w/ whipples could only muster 731hp. and 740hp. if I had to recam those motors for the whipples,,I'd have gone for a 12 degree split on the camshaft. but hey, that ~8-1 compression ratio, you can run them on 87 octane.:D I did have some afr heads for him but he was all done working on the boat/engines,he just wanted to run it. |
So cost effect too with budget friendly 540s win win. BB5 CNC , I mean they are no AFRs but I think they will flow ok. |
