I need to fit Kplanes to transom but not so much room around waterline at transom so may need to cut backing plates down and remote mounting the cylinders, so was thinking may need to fabricate some up out of 1/4 - 5/16" stainless plate. The gap in mounting point backing plate on Kplane is 2.25" wide could you check this your end if suitable
