Default AC unit - Dometic 12000 btu $1200

Model DTU12-1161-410A. Probably has less than 10hrs on it. Previous owner down south installed in the boat, didn’t use it much at all. I brought the boat to WI and decided if they didn’t use it much we wouldn’t at all and we could use the storage space instead.

Definitely interested. Just not if it’s too big for my boat. I don’t want to drain batteries/ inverter too much unnecessarily. I have a Cigarette 41’ Attack, cabin is just a little bigger than a 38’ Top Gun full cabin. What do you think? Thanks

Sorry for not responding sooner. I can’t say if I think it would fit in your boat, just not familiar with your boat. It was under the sink in my 38ZR though, which wasn’t a huge area. I’ll pull it down from the shelf in he garage and get some overall dimensions.

The company i work for makes most of the cooling pumps for these marine AC units.....so dealing with customer questions for the last 20yrs i have come to learn quite a bit about them. The "average" rule of thumb for sizing the AC unit is about 14BTU's/cubic foot of space that you want to keep cool. If you are trying to cool an area that is not insulated very well or has alot of windows etc to let heat in then you may need to bump that up to around 17BTU's/cubic foot. If you are mainly going to use this later in the day when the sun goes down or in a well insulated section then you could probably get away with lower vales like 10BTU's/cubic foot.
If you go too big of a unit, then it will short cycle and not get the humidity out of the cabin.
And sizing the cooling pump you usually go by 1gpm for every 3000BTU's Keep in mind that line length and size plays a factor as well as how high the pump needs to push it up to. You would need a bigger pump to get liquid up to a fly bridge then you would a small speed boat

Cig41, bigboat28, overall the unit is 21L x 13W x 12.5T. The drain pan is underneath the whole thing. Tried to get some better pictures

If you don't get much interest on here, then try FB Marketplace. I sold my AC unit on there in less than 3hrs.
