Hi Guys.. first post.
I realize this is an older thread, but I have a question about these type aluminum Mercruiser high performance covers. I've build a decent 454 (400ish hp) for my 25 Bertram. It has some roller tip rockers that fit under the low stock valve covers, but only with stock valve stud nuts. The set came with the allen wrench, extended stud locks that I would prefer to use.
So the question is: Will this type cover clear the extended stud locks (like are used on roller rockers)?.... AND will they work with the STD Mercruiser cast iron center riser manifolds. Its not a hot rod, but the hot rod in me needed to play just a bit.
I looked at the Eddie Marine angled valve covers made just for this type thing, but just can't justify $400 valve covers on this project. BTW the painted set in this post looks like the Eddie Marine covers.

Thanks in advance,
Scot

They made a couple different length polly locks and Id think both would fit under these covers kinda hard to tell from the pics.......... if the flamer ones are not angled on the exhaust side not sure if they'd clear your riser..jmo
