For the record, to my knowledge, "chrome" filament is not a thing. Best I can do is metallic silver. If anybody has a source, I'm all ears.

Amazon has chrome PLA

Fair enough. I’ve seen that before, and have used other “silks” in the past. I can give it a shot. I’ve been sticking to “tough” PLA for these prints, for obvious reasons, but the firebird is not a structural segment, and all the graphics are somewhat protected from incidental impact. I’ll order a spool and see how it goes.

For the record, the Fountain plug shown above was done with the “silk” metallic gold, and I’d say the “silk” metallic silver will be similar. A bit more shiny than standard metallic silver PLA, but a far cry from “chrome”. I’ll print up something small and see how it turns out.
