I've seen some guys making decent power with those... How do they compare to a AFR Magnum 335, if all else is equal

Somebody straighten me out if I'm wrong but I think that it's pretty well known that the AFR 335 Magnum heads are more substantial in gains over the as cast 335cc Enforcer AFR heads.
I would still like to know what Park is swapping his AFR heads out for which of the Bodix aluminum heads???... I also heard that the Brodix 332çc oval port design heads are very powerful and will seriously challenge the fully CNC ported AFR Magnum heads.

The AFR 335cc Magnum cnc ported version heads are a great head.
Which of the Brodix castings have you decided to replace your AFR 335cc heads with?---Just curious if you are willing to share your reasons. (?) Thanks
hello all......my afr magnum heads.....we're shot.....aka water jackets .....builder likes brodix....went cnc 345.....so will see what it makes....long story short.....jessel said I could just buy pedestals...and use the rockers...that was the plan but didn't work.....

I think those brodix rovals are the best 24* type head.

The Enforcer heads are the budget line, which are just the same castings that you see with multiple brand names on them. Not
The greatest head out there...don't know why they didn't use the castings that Promax/Flotek use, as they are a plagerized
Copy of the AFR Magnum head...probably because they didn't want to sell the same heads at 2 price points ..they are very good heads for the price, side by side, ports look identical ..

I don't understand the resoning here. The issue that I had with heads is roting from the water jacket out. Even anodized heads rot out at the head gasket surface (not anodized there)

I just replaced the original AFR 375 anodized heads with 385 untreated heads and went with closed cooling on my Quadrotor engines. Heads just cost to much to replace these days every couple of years. Also had to order them to get the Copper seats for marine use. $1000 more for the 2 sets from AFR and 3 months lead time.

Then went to Teague to get a price on rebuilding (2) of his 825s that came with Brodix BB-2 Xtra heads. He said that with a 10 year old engine he would not touch the old heads and replace them because of potential rot. Anyway I called Brodix to see if they did Copper seats for marine use. They do and a $1000 upgrade for (2) sets of heads same as AFR. Then came to which head. The Brodix Dragon Slayer (DS 320 & DS365) came up. 320cc vs 365cc intake runners. The Big Brodie casting is used same as the BB-2 heads. What is the differance between them and the BB-2 Xtra head, VERY LITTLE except for Price and valve guide material. These heads bare are under $1000 each. The AFR's where twice that around $2000 each for the 385 Magnum same price as the 377 Magnum.

For the price I ordered (2) sets of the DS365 heads with Copper seats. Total is like $5000 and use my current stuff from the old heads, valves, retainers, studs, etc. New Crower SS rockers. 6-8 week delivery.

So a decent name brand racing head can be had for not much more than the China nockoffs. I hope Brodix still is all American. My 2 cents worth.

Closed cooling is the way to go.....which is what I'm doing....as you said heads are way to expensive to keep replacing....every 4 years......
