Default Haulin on Old Hickory 2011 Fun Run Info

There is also a thread in the Poker Run and Events forum, but for convenience I'll use this forum to post relevant updates and information as I get them. The basic information is on the MCPA Website.

Best regards,

Default Hyatt Place Hotel Rate Code is G-MCFR

Be sure to use the rate code G-MCFR if you plan on staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Hendersonville.
Hopefully it will save you a few bucks for beer and ice.

Best regards

Ralph

Default Overnight Parking at Anchor High

Anchor High has confirmed that they will provide complimentary overnight parking to those who need it. They will make the day use slips and certain covered dock slips with no tenants available for use as overnight parking. The marina will make the arrangements with those wishing to park the Friday of the event weekend.

Buddy Luv also indicated that he had a line on some reserved slips at Black Jack. I know that some folks also made reservations directly at Drakes Creek as well.

Do we need to make arrangements with Anchor High in advance? If so, to whom should we speak?

Chewy - no need to make arrangements in advance. Mitch, the owner, is the one who is working with us to coordinate the overnight parking.

Went to make reservations at the Hyatt Place and the room block is already full. We have atleast 5 Boats heading down from Cumberland, all of which will need rooms.

Any chance of expanding the block?

My apologies for that. The hotel has expanded the room block and extended the cutoff for booking to midnight July 7th. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards

Default Noise Level Advisory

This is to advise everyone attending that no exemption was issued waiving the Tennessee Noise Level Standards for this event.

“(1) No person shall operate any vessel in or upon the waters of Tennessee in such a manner so that the total noise produced by the watercraft exceeds 86 dBA at a distance of 50 feet or more, whether or not said vessel is in motion”

If you have mufflers, you may want to use them. Our ability to obtain the permits required for this event depends greatly on participants’ observing the event rules and the state’s boating regulations.

Thanks

RP

This was copied from the TWRA boating regulations:
"Engines of all motorized vessels must have an effective muffling system. The noise level of any motorized vessel may not exceed 86 decibels at 50 feet or more. Manufacturers may not sell vessels which do not meet the noise level requirements."
