Tickfaw Poker Run

Travel:
Walden to Hammond, Louisiana is 348 miles or 6 hours with gas stops only.
Take I-10 East to Baton Rouge – then I-12 East to Hammond, Louisiana.
Exit # 40 or Highway 51, go north (left) ¼ mile to Best Western. The phone
number there is 985-419-2001.

To Crazy Charlie’s (Blood River Landing) or Mak-em Marina and Launch.
Turn South (left) on Hwy 51 and go 2.8 miles till the road dead ends into Hwy 22.
Go West (right) on Hwy 22 about 5.7 miles until you hit the town of Springfield.
Turn South (left) at stop light as Hwy 22 makes a turn to the South.
Go another ½ mile (go through Springfield) till you come to the Chevron Gas Station (good place to fill boat up and store trailer).
Go to the right on Hwy 22 at Chevron another 2.7 miles to Blood River Landing (a sign just before the turn into Blood River says “St. John University”) or continue on Hwy 22 another 1.8 miles to Mak-em Landing to Launch your boat. Launch fee is $3.00 and to store your trailer it is an additional $ 2.00/day. Remember, you can store your trailer in back of the Chevron for Free.
