THLWL just emailed me this info. Thanks again Tommy!!

TRIP TO STINGAREES: 30 MILES

AFTER THE LAST CLEAR LAKE CHANNEL MARKER, SET YOUR COMPASS TO ABOUT
90 DEGREES. MAKE SURE YOU RUN TO THE SOUTH SIDE OF SMITH POINT.
90 DEGREE HEADING WILL TAKE YOU THE STINGAREES FUEL DOCK CUT TO THE
INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY.

FROM STINGAREES TO LAKE CHARLES IS ABOUT 100 MILES. BOATS THAT ARE
NOT SURE THEY CAN MAKE THE TRIP TO LAKE CHARLES WITHOUT FUEL
SHOULD TOP OFF THEIR TANKS AT STINGAREES. MOST OF THE GROUP IS PLANNING ON
WAITING NEAR STINGAREES WHILE THE BOATS FILL UP.

STINGAREES TO CALCASIEU SHIP CHANNEL: 90 MILES

WE WILL LEAVE STINGAREES AND RUN DUE EAST IN THE INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHANNEL MARKER WILL SWAP COLORS BACK AND FORTH
ALONG THIS TRIP. KEEP YOUR BOAT BETWEEN THE MARKERS.

A DIFFICULT PASS WILL BE THROUGH SABINE LAKE AREA NEAR 93.52 & 29.56 ON YOUR
GPS. KEEP THE RED CHANNEL MARKERS TO STARBOARD (RIGHT) SIDE OF BOAT.
DO NOT GO UP THE NECHES RIVER.

AFTER LEAVING SABINE LAKE FOR ABOUT 7 TO 8 MILES, YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE THE
SMALL CHANNEL TO THE RIGHT NEAR 93.44 & 30.03 ON YOUR GPS. YOU WILL CONTINUE
TO STAY TO THE RIGHT THROUGH THE CHANNEL NEAR 93.42 & 30.03 ON YOUR GPS.
YOU ARE THEN BACK IN A LONG STRAIGHT SECTION OF THE INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY.

AT THE END OF THIS LONG STRAIGHT RUN, YOU WILL RUN UNDER THE ELLENDER TOWERS
NEAR 93.21 & 30.04 ON YOUR GPS.

ABOUT 2 MILES PAST ELLENDER TOWERS, YOU WILL COME TO THE CALCASIEU SHIP CHANNEL.

CALCASIEU SHIP CHANNEL TO L'AUBERGE DU LAC CASINO RESORT IN LAKE CHARLES: 10 MILES

UPON ENTERING THE CALCASIEU SHIP CHANNEL, YOU WILL GO NORTH (LEFT) FOR ABOUT
10 MILES. 1 MILE PAST THE INTERSTATE 210 BRIDGE, YOU WILL SEE THE L'AUBERGE
DU LAC CASINO RESORT AND DOCKS.

APPROXIMATE TOTAL RUN DISTANCE: 130 MILES

FUEL DOCKS IN LAKE CHARLES:

TAKE A RIGHT JUST PAST THE DOCKS AT L'AUBERGE IN TO THE CONTRABAND BAYOU.
CONTINUE TO TRAVEL DOWN THE BAYOU AND BOW TIE MARINA WILL BE ON YOUR LEFT.
BOW TIE MARINA HAS 2 HIGH SPEED FUEL PUMPS. THEY ONLY HAVE 93 OCTANE BUT
CURRENTLY THEIR PRICE PER GALLON IS LESS THAN IN CLEAR LAKE FOR 89 OCTANE. THEY
WILL PUMP FUEL SATURDAY FOR US UNTIL WE'RE DONE!

L'AUBERGE DU LAC EVENTS COORDINATOR, JENNIFER JACOBSON - 713-366-9251

Looking at working a half day on Friday. Hit the water around 12-1. Which will give us several ours for mistakes. That way we do not drive all hung over Sat. morning.
