I had Alpha drives for 11 years from '93 - '04 with small block 350 Mag packages and no trouble whatsoever. Remember in the mid 90's they tried a few big block 454's with the Alpha and they ran great unless the owners insisted on frequent jackrabbit starts when the housings of the Alpha's would twist. But there is no problem at all with small blocks. :drink:
