45 Excaliber at AYS
Since the question was asked, i'll jump in with a little more on the 45 Ex. The boat has been in the water at Del Lago since the late 90's, most likely since it was brand new. In the beginning, Rocky would come out a few times a month, go cruise the lake, then come back and cover it up and leave. So hardly used. I think most of the dock rashes happened about 4 years ago, when we would see someone other than Rocky come out with a female, leave the docks and not return till late in the night. I don't think he had much experiance with boats. Rocky did have someone clean the boat maybe twice a month. I'll have to admit, i checked out the inside while it was at Del Lago, and i also checked it out again at AYS a couple of months ago. The outdrives were totally gone when they repo'ed it. Either they have been replaced by AY's or they will be replaced. The initial price was 119, but went up to 125, so maybe that reflected the replacement of the outdrives. And yes, will need a new bottom job and probably some bottom work since it has set in the water so long without redoing the bottom job. Otherwise, a great boat that's hardly been used. The stabbin cabin is in excellant shape. In my opinion, the 45 Ex is an awesome boat for someone that likes both performance and cruising. I think that about covers it. Now back to Bull S......... Sorry so long.
Oh, Fountains at The Baja Bash, as its always been, the more the better. Heck, we had a houseboat there. Thanks Andy. |

No problem except on the video we only had about 6-8 Baja's that were able to catch air from your wake because all the other 60+ Baja's couldn't catch up to ya. :D By the way, great docking skills at Papa's a week ago Saturday when you pulled in late in the evening. I've never seen a dog make such a great dock hand before. How he held the Gibson in with both the dock lines in his mouth while you fetched the bumpers was awesome. |
