yes I got the shaft fixed and I got it started, now the problem is hella bad vibration, I think I have a bent shaft or a jacked up prop. :(

or is loose. don't run it intil you have the problem fixed. That is how the 46 Sea Ray I purchased sunk.

I am gonna pull the props off next week and start from there. Mike at Inland marine said the set screws in the coupler were tight, that the vibration grinded the shaft loose, my packing is also leaking, or I should say pissing. What happened to the sea ray?

Tom will explain better, when he gets here,, but I believe the shaft bent and some how threw the propeller up through the bottom of the boat. but dont quote me on that.

The packing will always leak. They are made to do that. As far as the Sea Ray the previous owner lost a blade on the prop. Instead of brining it in on one engine. he contiued to run it. It vibrated the shaft bracket loose. Then sent the bracket through the bottom of the boat.
