Yeah, Should be about the same as your last one. Needs 2 pistons and a new head. Possibly a rod. I guess I can start slamming Merlin heads now. You would think they would laast more than 2 hours before coming apart. |
the weird thing is it is the intake and not the exhaust... oh well it could be worse..........
you could be pulling it back from new orleans with a blown motor. i wonder if it could be an oiling problem? did you use old rocker arms? if roller rockers have a bad needle bearing the can lock up and break a valve. They arent going to warranty it? valves should just break maybe machine work was sloppy and valve guides or something was bad? |

what did the end of the sparkplug look like? I wonder if it failed and rattled in there?

No problems with the plugs. It was a simple valve failure. I am going to get the loose pieces out of the boat and go put it up. I will worry about it next week. |
