Exactly! :D

put the push bar on the front of the EX and just move what ever is in the way when you need to turn..... and if that doesn't work, jassman's method works well too...

Dohhh! Thats why I need a big hauler, to carry all those extra parts :drink:

Ok, you guys forgot to tell me '05 is it for the Ex. I test drove a 6.0 '04 (thats all they had). I think I like it. Now I just have to find a new '05 w/ the options I want.
The other thing I found interesting was the 2 '04's the dealer had were lemon law titles. He assured me that they had it worked out. Im not interested in either but what is the deal with that?

As far as the freezing goes, Excavator has been trying to talk me into a diesel for a while. He kept telling me fuel wasnt a problem...the next morning his new Dodge...FROZEN. We had to put a propane heater under the truck and surround the truck with toboggans to hold the heat. After a few hours and pulling the injectors we got it started. Granted it was -30 for two days but thats when you really want your truck to start

Re: Suburban or Excursion

Wanted the Ex for the diesel, but w/ 3 kids the Suburban was the only choice because it has shoulder straps for all 3 in the back seat. (Ex has a center lap belt only)
I have an 03 2500 with the 6.0, didn't want the gas hog 8.1. BAD IDEA! We tow 8,100 lbs boat, fuel, trailer makes over 10K easy and it does OK, but hill can suck! Turns out the 8.1 only gets 1 mpg less than the 6.0. (and 95lbs more torque) PS: I like the GM products asthestics better, too bad the diesel is AT LEAST 2 years away.

The Ex has an excellent separator/fuel heater. I never have plugged mine in and it starts exactly the same whether its 70 or below zero. When it is close to zero, I cycle the glow plugs twice.

There's only one trick/rule with a diesel- after October, I don't buy fuel anywhere but a truck stop. I never buy it anywhere that isn't a busy station- stale fuel is a nightmare.

You want an 05..... period. If this is a choice, I would go for the Ex. I paid 44,700 for mine... with EVERY option. Sticker was 55 and change. It is a different ride than my Denali XL but still very very nice. More of a truck feel but pretty close. When I get in the denali now it feels like a sports car. The diesel will last forever. I do have 130K on the Denali and it still doesnt burn a drop after some heavy towing... the gear ratio was what shot my tranny.... it is geared much less than the 2500 Yukon. I love the diesel now.... and it will tow much much more when you decided to move up or when you have to tow 3 spare sleds because you cant stay on the trail :D

Where do you ride? I spent years riding in Woodford Vermont all the way up to Island Pond VT.... Went to Canada once a year from Island Pond up to QC and went to Maine if there wasnt any snow in Canada
My last two sleds were a 96 XCR 600 with triples pipes and racing clutch and a 97 MXZ 670 Ski Doo  .... loved 'em both
Then I moved to VA :(

I have a MXZ 670HO tweaked a little by Smith Marine in old forge. It has a few grass drag titles under its belt. Not with my fat azz on it though.
My wife and I bought MXZ 600SDI's Rev's last year and I like the new riding style alot. We mostly ride NY (Tug Hill, Lake George) NH (Walpole, Pittsburgh) and a little in PA. Snowmobiling is a great sport next to boating.

Stecz and I just dropped my boat at the marina and past a dealer that had about 10 or so Excurtions on his lot. You know where Ill be after work tomorrow :D
