You Can Do It Around Town, But You'll Kill It On A Long Haul! Pulling A Big Boat Out Of The "drink" With A Jeep Will Require 4-wheel Low.

I tried to tow a wellcraft nova(6klbs) with a Grand and just about lost it on the 1st sweeping turn on a freeway. It pulled like a tractor at the launch ramp but wheelbase is too short in the Jeep, and the boat/trailer pushed the jeep around like a toy when a semi would pass-NOT advisable. Sold it and got a 1ton Ford.

Bad Idea

Back when we had our Baja 272 I had a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V-8.

It did not like the 272 at all which weighed in around 6000 lbs on the trailer.

The wheel base is TOO short, the mirrors will not allow you to see what is behind you and there were not enough brakes.

You need a 3/4 ton something to safely tow that size boat.
