Radical New Tire design by Michelin
Look, Ma, No air! Check these out.

Thought you might like to see the next generation of tires. They had a
pair at the Philadelphia Car show. Attached are pictures of the new Michelin tires. These tires are
airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law
enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires

This is what great R&D will do and just think of the impact on existing
technology:
a.. no more air valves
a.. no more air compressors at gas stations
a.. no more repair kits

i remember reading about these last year, i am surprised they still haven't done more with them... the article i read said they were ready and waiting as far as the r&d went... i think motor trend even did an article on them 6 or 7 months ago, and they are never on top of anything, i wonder if michelin is facing resistance from the tire industry... just think, no more flats, blowouts, repairs, replacements, spares, tire gauges, air fill at stations.... that's alot of money out of peoples pockets...
