You'll know what motor is in a truck as soon as you start it up. The LBZ is a whole lot quieter than the LLY (I have both).
The LBZ seems to use the lower RPM range more than the LLY did.
Given the 6 6peed, I wish GM put a 4.10 axle in it. All you can get is 3.73s...
FYI, the back end of this truck rides like poop. Ford has a much better ride...

Drove a Chevy 3/4 ton crew/short w/ the LBZ today for the first time for a few miles. Wow, it moves along real nice like. Low end punch and pull fealt real strong. Look forward to getting one in a few months
