Im looking at a 02' dully right now, 2WD, crew cab, 7.3L, Lariat package, sprayed in bed liner with 5th wheel reciever, 2 tone paint.. nice truck has 93K on it. I can buy it for $23,500. After Christmas im going to go look at it some more and see, but I think I am going to pick it up. Really want a 4X4, but I think it will work.

I was at the auction last Tuesday in Orlando & watched a 2005 Dodge 3500 Dually 4x4 crew cab with 8,000 miles Black with Black leather go for $29,800 and they sold it. Mabe thats the way to go ! I really wanted a Ford.
You seem to get more bang for the buck with a Dodge.

There are bad Dodges amd Chevys out there also...

My 7.3 stranded me a couple times (3 to be exact) leaked oil, and idled rough. That was not a perfect engine either, tho they did get it right eventually.

FWIW, I had a 2004 6.0 that never left me anywhere, never refused to tow whatever i put behind it, never leaked oil in the 30k miles I owned it. It threatened me a lot tho, I gave it back to Ford. My 06 @ 12.5k miles since July has been flawless. Tows up to the rated weight perfectly. Tows considerably above the rated weight perfectly. The tow command rocks. The interior blows away the competition for room and quality..

However, LS is looking used. The 03-06 6.o's I would be leary of. The 05-06's may be too new to fnd used. Where he and Lubejobs screwed up was passing on Buizilla's 7.3 dually he had for sale a few months back. That truck rocked....

Why does everybody like Ford's so much? I think if you're looking for quality in the interior, other than space, Chevy blows away everybody except GMC because they're the same company obviously.

I like the Chevy trucks a lot. However, every single truck is identical inside. I currently have an Avalanche 2500 with dark charcoal leather interior, and would love to find the right GM truck with light grey leather interior, but they are few and far between. I would like a change on my next truck. The Fords have noticable more interior space.
